How it works
Glendale collects bulk trash once a month by section. The city publishes a yearly schedule and a section map so you can find your collection week.
Cities update these programs often. Confirm your date and the current rules on the official Glendale bulk trash page.
The rules
- One collection per month for your section
- Set items out no earlier than the Thursday before your collection week
- Have them out by 6:00 a.m. Monday of that week
- Place piles at the curb or within 4 feet of the property line
- Keep piles at least 2 feet from water meters, cable boxes, and similar items
- Piles set out too early or placed wrong can draw a fine on your utility bill
Hauling it yourself
Glendale residents can schedule an off-route bulk pickup for a fee, or bring a utility bill and driver's license to the Glendale landfill for a free monthly load.
A dump trailer makes that trip a lot easier: the hydraulic bed unloads the whole pile in seconds. See where to dump in the Phoenix area.
When bulk trash isn't enough
- Your section's week just passed
- You don't want to risk a fine for timing it wrong
- The items are heavy or still inside
- You're clearing a whole house, not one pile
That's when it's worth calling us. Junk removal in Glendale means our crew carries it out and hauls it away on your schedule. Or rent a dump trailer and clear it at your own pace.
